Ed began his career at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC while serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After leaving the military and graduating from the University of Louisville, he joined Kosair Hospital for Children as a staff orthotist. Ed was later appointed Director of Orthotics and Prosthetics for Kosair Hospital. Ed graduated from the UCLA Prosthetic-Orthotic Education Program, Northwestern University, and New York University.
Ed is ABC certified in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists, member of the American Orthotic and Prosthetics Association, and member of the Kentucky Board of Prosthetics, Orthotics and Pedorthics. In 1981, Ed and his wife Mary started their own orthotic-prosthetic company in Louisville and in 1984 co-founded Central Brace & Prosthetics, Inc. Ed is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Pedorthics.
Ed is licensed in orthotics, prosthetics, and pedorthics by the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Prosthetics, Orthotics and Pedorthics. Ed is active in expanding orthotic, prosthetic and pedorthic services throughout central and eastern Kentucky offering life-changing treatments for the physically challenged.
